This Master Data Management (MDM) position is responsible for the quality of our master data which includes the strategy and tactics necessary to improve the quality for partners across the enterprise. This leader contributes independently, through others and organizationally.

  • Lead, coach, and train team members, end users, business partners and stakeholders on master data quality processes, tools, metrics and master data lifecycle to enable accurate, efficient, data-based processes and decisions
  • Influence, improve and facilitate documentation and use of the MDM data standards/definitions, process flows and supporting systems in an effort to advance our master data governance maturity and improve the quality of our data
  • Create, measure and analyze master data content & quality to find and drive opportunities to improve the quality, accuracy and usability of the master data
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Material and AKA account & contact information to help with growth opportunities in cross team interactions and quality of data in a quickly expanding area.
  • Project Management and development of business and IT projects that impact master data quality, which include but not limited to identifying and installing new processes and/or software solutions for master data management and quality improvements


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Salesforce certification or 5 years business experience in Salesforce tools
  • Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) certifications or 5 years business experience in IDQ development
  • Data Governance certification a plus
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Data Governance and/or Information Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Salesforce (CRM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Informatica Data Quality (data profiling tool)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience executing or supporting one or more of the following:
  • Customer Care, Information Technology, Sales, or Marketing
  • Subject matter expert in Customer/Contact Master domain
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality
  • Experience managing data quality projects required
  • Experience with other master data tools a plus (i.e., MDM, data profiling, data rules/standards, glossary, catalog, data lineage, data cleansing, Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), Customer Data Platforms (CDP))
  • Direct people management required (though role will not currently have direct reports)
  • Experience with Lean and Agile required, i.e., scrum, JIRA, Kanban, etc.
  • Experience as a project team member or business process team member on a business or technology project a plus
  • Experience in business process design, documentation, and implementation, which can include workflow design and automation a plus
  • Experience in IT Technical design or development a plus
  • Experience developing, managing, and reporting metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) a plus
  • Experience with Governance Councils
  • Experience with Excel add-in or SharePoint workflow a plus
  • Experience with Six Sigma tools and processes a plus, i.e., Value Stream Mapping
  • Experience with customer marketing, customer lifecycles, customer experience metrics a plus


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide master data quality leadership, consulting, training and change management to internal team members, end-users, business partners and stakeholders
  • Manage the quality of master data throughout the lifecycle with little or no supervision
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships with business stakeholders, leaders and end-users, including but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance & Accounting, HR, and Information Technology
  • Develop thorough understanding of the core business processes & system transactions and how master data impacts business activity and performance upstream and downstream to help identify gaps or opportunities to improve our data quality
  • Analyze and audit master data content and quality; identify, recommend and put new solutions in place to improve the quality, accuracy and usability of the data
  • Facilitate discussions and activities with our business partners to help them understand the quality of their data, evolve their data rules and business processes, and improve business partner training to increase adoption and maturity
  • Create, design, expand and implement internal team process improvements, standards, definitions, and process flows, and documentation
  • Publishing and communicating data quality metrics to business partners and stakeholders
  • Facilitate business partner data quality goal setting to drive data governance adherence and improvements
  • Develop and support process to capture, access, prioritize data cleansing initiatives
  • Coordination of community of practice meetings & data governance councils to keep business partners and stakeholders informed and engaged
  • Research, recommend, design and implement improvements to supporting tools and systems which include identify tool gaps, assess software solutions, vendor partnership, sell concepts internally; keep current of MDM and data quality practices outside of the company for trends, tools and best practices; identify gaps with our practices, make recommendations and implement improvements
  • Drive, create, measure and communicate KPIs and metrics - includes negotiation and tracking service levels, cycle times and data quality levels that ensure best in class data quality
  • Facilitate an atmosphere of continuous improvement
  • Hold team and business partners accountable to our data quality targets and processes
  • Responsible for developing and managing projects
  • Mentor junior team members for tasks or project assignments
  • Act as a subject matter expert to team members, business partners and management in data quality best practices and recommendations
