[ibimage==47361==Original==none==self==ibimage_align-center]STATS LLC, a sports analytics and data company based in Northbrook, continues to be aggressive as it strives to claim its place in the industry.

The company announced today the acquisition of TVT Video Technologies Inc. (TVTI), a Portland-based company that has offered video technology and engineering to Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Hockey League (NHL) teams for more than a decade.

STATS, a company owned by Vista Equity Partners, has made three other acquisitions since February. Last week, it acquired Prozone, a UK-based company that specializes in performance analysis. Before that, STATS acquired The Sports Network and Automated Insights.

The TVTI acquisition only adds to STATS’ array of data and analytics tools that sports teams use.

“The combination of TVTI and STATS will bring best-of-breed video, tracking and analytics solutions to a broader audience, both in terms of sport and geography,” Bill Squadron, EVP of global strategy at STATS, said in a statement. “It also will ensure that STATS continues to revolutionize the experience of sport in every arena, just as we have with our acquisitions of BSports, The Sports Network, Automated Insights and Prozone in the past nine months.”

Eighty-six percent of the collective teams in the National Football League, National Basketball Association, NHL and MLB use STATS’ technology or analytics solutions.
