The George E. Richmond Foundation is a not-for-profit focused on advancing the connection between oral and overall healthcare through science, economics, and policy.  

The Role

Reporting to the Co-Presidents, the Grants/Administrative Manager is the primary contact for Foundation grant recipients and is relied on to ensure the smooth operation of the Foundation’s grant making, administrative, and operational duties. They have responsibility for overseeing the processes and procedures of grant making and requirements including compliance with laws and regulations, tracking of grant payment schedules and reporting.

In addition, the Manager will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Co-Presidents. The responsibilities will be both administrative and operational.

The Grants/Administrative Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

Grant Management/Database Administration

  • Serve as primary administrator for grant management and grantee database.
  • Prepare grant award letters, grant agreements and grant payments.
  • Manage the efficient and accurate processing, tracking, and reporting of all grants and expense payments.
  • Primary liaison to grantees including program managers, doctors, researchers and students.
  • Manage interns.

Budget/Expenses

  • Track and maintain the budget and expenditure.
  • Provide reports on grants and expenses to the Co-Presidents.
  • Liaison for accounting and legal team.

Support the Co-Presidents

  • Support the Co-Presidents includes assisting in the creation of the annual board book.
  • Support the Co-President in organizing and maintaining their schedules, travel and ad hoc projects.

What Success in Year One Will Look Like

  • Efficiently and accurately process, track, and report on financial expenditures
  • Proactively support the Co-Presidents to ensure that daily and long-term strategic activities are well coordinated, efficient, and effective
  • Effective management of Administrative Associate and interns
  • Ensure that Board materials are well prepared and timely.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • Significant interest and/or experience in healthcare policy
  • Minimum of three years’ experience
  • Demonstratable skills between mutliple organizations
  • Knowledge and application of best practices in grant making is a plus.

  • Advanced technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite 365, Google Suite, and QuickBooks
