Advisory Consultant Contractor - IT Disaster Recovery
The Role
At Fusion, the Advisory Consultant Contractor is a resource with strong consulting service delivery skills. The Advisory Consultant can autonomously deliver multiple client engagements, while also identifying future pre-sales opportunities. They are highly competent or experienced in one or more designated solution focus areas, for instance IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, etc., and they are capable of managing complex solutions. Specifically, they will:
- Establish value-add relationships with clients and the Fusion Risk Management team.
- Demonstrate excellence in delivering complex solutions in one or more designated solution areas, including but not limited to: Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management
- Continually strive to improve subject matter expertise in multiple solution areas
- Demonstrate a high aptitude for keeping projects in scope, on time, and under budget
- Provide sales support for Advisory statements of work as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 5 or more years of IT Disaster Recovery industry experience, with experience leading and/or participating in strategic initiatives or equivalent
- 5 or more years' experience coordinating, participating, in IT Disaster Recovery consulting engagements including scheduling and overall engagement management is strongly preferred
- Experience or understanding of application mapping or network architecture is helpful
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Meeting management skills and conflict resolution skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly summarize key findings
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as prior success working with engineers
- Ability to balance and prioritize conflicting requirements
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- BC/DR Industry certification (BCI, DRII, etc.) or equivalent desired
- BC/DR consulting and/or direct practitioner experience desired
Location
- The Advisory/Sr Advisory Consultant Contractor must be based in the United States and able to work during normal business hours of 8am-5pm (Hours may be subject to change based on client needs)
- This role is a maximum of 26 hours per week, hours are not guaranteed thus, hours per week can vary.
