We are seeking a talented Senior Application Manager to lead our People Technology team in building, integrating and maintaining scalable, high quality and efficient Core HR and Recruiting Technologies, which are critical foundations for powering the TEAM at Atlassian! You'll be a hands-on technical leader and people manager and will play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision, strategy, delivery and engineering plus operational excellence of Core HR and Recruiting Technologies.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $197,000 - $262,700
Zone B: $177,300 - $236,400
Zone C: $163,600 - $218,100
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

- 15+ years of experience leading Engineering and/or Application teams with a focus on SaaS based HR and Recruiting Technology (e.g. Workday, iCIMS)
- Driving clarity from single-line requirements and providing direction in ambiguous environments
- Ability to drive engineering excellence, pushing innovation, quality, and operational excellence
- Building strong relationships with business stakeholders, and adjacent technical teams
- Experience building strong strategic partnerships with key vendors and influencing roadmaps
- A track record of strong execution, delivering results and a strong bias for action
- Strong communication skills (technical, non-technical audiences and senior leadership)
It would be great if you have
- Experience with HR and Recruiting business concepts and processes
- Experience in defining a strategic roadmap for products and platforms
- Experience with distributed development teams across multiple geographies
- 15+ years of software development management experience, managing teams of 15+ Engineers
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a preference for Computer Science degree
- Demonstrated experience partnering with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience driving technical strategy of the team
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and growing high performing engineering teams
