Position Overview:

The Sr. Software Engineer plays a vital role in the development and maintenance of Advanse’s applications. Leveraging their experience in analysis, design, coding, and testing of software applications, the engineer will conceptualize software solutions at both the unit and system levels. A thorough understanding of the latest development standards, philosophies, tools, and applications is required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the design & implementation of distributed applications
• Minimum of 8 years combined Java and/or NodeJS experience
• Minimum of 5 years AWS experience in developing and delivering AWS solutions
• Must Have: In-depth, hands-on expertise in Java, NodeJS, Linux, MySQL/Aurora
• Experience with PHP and React or other front end framework a plus
• Ability to work independently
• Must be comfortable working with an open, highly collaborative team
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• Knowledge of AWS cloud deployment, networking, and monitoring tools (systems manager, vpc, cloud watch, cloud trail, etc.)
• Strong understanding of system scalability and performance tuning
• Iterative software development methodologies
• Serverless work with Amazon Lambda

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
