This role will be responsible for standing-up and leading process governance and change management framework for MarTech at Discover. This involves standing up and leading the program for adoption of the latest change management frameworks for new initiatives defined by business risk and central compliance teams. In parallel, coordinating the documentation of governed processes and delivery of associated artifacts followed by risk assessments in line with enterprise guidance. Over time, this role can grow to managing the end-to-end lifecycle and optimization of processes owned by MarTech. Success requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, business risk, compliance advisory, vendor management and more.
This role will also lead program management for major MarTech initiatives. Initially the focus will be on the Data Collections and Measurement (DCM) product area and may expand over time to other areas. Initiatives will address topics such as tagging, improving resilience for compliance and privacy requirements and tech debt reduction. The role requires close collaboration with product, engineering, marketing, compliance, and other cross functional teams. This role will ensure development of initiative scope, roadmaps, milestones, plans, success metrics, etc. that are aligned with MarTech priorities.
This role will also be responsible for big picture thinking, presenting to executive stakeholders, and holding cross-functional teams accountable for overarching delivery goals. In addition to the efforts will create scalable artifacts for program management that pave the way for consistent program practices across MarTech.
Through all the areas of responsibility, this role will require development and coaching talent to enable future leaders at Discover, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, and collaboratively driving initiatives while identifying, managing, and escalating risk effectively.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates project prioritization and manages projects.
- Partners with leadership to lead and manage project planning, progress reporting, quality assurance, risk mitigation, communication, and implementation management across Agile teams.
- Participates in budget development and evaluates how work-plan changes impact costs and schedules.
- Manages issue resolution including any required remediation and responses to regulators.
- Manages, coaches, mentors, and develops staff in driving business strategies.
- Stands up and leads the programmatic adoption of the latest change management frameworks for new initiatives defined by business risk and central compliance teams.
- Coordinates the documentation of governed processes and delivery of associated artifacts followed by risk assessments in line with enterprise guidance.
- Provides training and support for process owners as they step into their role.
- Serves as a MarTech liaison for business risk and central compliance teams for change management,
- Over time improve the end-to-end lifecycle and optimize processes
- Leads program management for major initiatives within data collections and measurement to execute on high priority enterprise level initiatives, and influence across our organization.
- Develops scalable program management artifacts to be deployed across other major initiatives within the MarTech team.
- Leverages best practices for influencing and organizational change management at scale to support adoption and adherence to governance processes deployed.
- Manages, mentors and grows direct reports into future leaders for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in people management, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, people management, or related field
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, people management, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, people management, or related field
- Project Management Professional
- 6+ years' experience in MarTech and AdTech roles at large organizations
- 2+ years of financial services experience

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
