Social Media Intern

As a Social Media Intern, you will gain valuable knowledge and expertise in creating content for our brand channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and support the team with ad hoc campaign production. The ideal candidate knows the tastytrade social media channels well and is excited to create innovative ways to bring our voice to life on social media.
Who you are:
- Must have experience in graphic design for social media marketing or content creation
- Must have proficiency in the social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Must have experience in graphic design with digital art software (Canva)
- Must have ability to create slide decks and creative briefs
- Availability to work 25 hrs/week
What you’ll do:
- Research and source content trends and growth strategies
- Ability to develop and edit video content for web applications and social media platforms.
- Craft legal, educational slide decks/presentations in line with our branding for social media content and long-form videos on our web application
- Work with the Social Media content creation team to craft and execute compelling vertical video for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other social media platforms.
- Monitor results of social media content on key platforms and provide analysis of findings.
- Conduct an analysis of what other organizations and brands are doing on social media and present findings to the broader brand marketing team.
- Learn brand standards and ensure video content aligns with the goals and mission of the organization.
- Ability to deal professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment and assume responsibility for guiding projects and programs from inception through completion.
- Effective oral, written and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
- Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
