What we are looking for:

We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, self-disciplined problem solver with a "get it done" attitude eager to disrupt, transform, and redefine an outdated and untrusted legacy segment of the auto industry and turn CarAdvise into a household name. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to join the team who enjoys a fun and fast-paced environment as every day is different!

Responsibilities:

Rhythm

  • Own month-end/year-end close, including supporting schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

  • Prepare and present financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements) and variance analysis.

  • Lead financial review with the leadership at Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews; provide financial planning and analysis, including Investor and board meeting preparations.

  • Support annual budget and forecast preparation.

 

Financial Operations

  • Own and maintain Chart of Accounts.

  • Articulate the technical and financial implications of the associated processes and identify and

    resolve problems independently, including streamlining existing SOPs.

  • Own Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/invoicing – manage the A/P, A/R, and reconciliation

    resources, ensuring all vendor payments are accurate and timely.

  • Manage payroll processing, partnering with benefits and compensation functions.

  • Process sales tax and payroll tax payments and returns.

  • Assist with contract administration for all vendors and partners, ensuring all mutual obligations

    are met in accordance with the contract.

  • Manage investor materials, including Cap Table.

  • Support audit and tax preparation, collaborating with an external CPA firm.

Governance

  • Prepare and maintain annual filings, registrations, and compliance calendar.

  • Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and accounting policies and procedures.

  • Be a key player in process improvements, documentation, and projects.

  • them to improve efficiency and build the trust of our partners and customers.
  • Highly accountable – you take ownership and hold yourself and others accountable.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, with a CPA, is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting lead roles, preferably with experience at a technology company and/or top-tier management consulting firm

  • Firm understanding of how to apply GAAP to General Ledger accounting.

  • Thorough understanding of QuickBooks

  • Strong proficiency and advanced user of Excel; SQL/Metabase experience a plus

  • Start-up mindset. Willing to roll up sleeves and do whatever helps the team win.

  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis is preferred

 

Pay Range: $75,000 - 105,000 + Bonus (Dependent upon experience)
