Cameo gets its first acquisition. Cameo announced its acquisition of Represent, the marketing and merchandise platform that allows celebrities to sell merchandise. The Chicago unicorn allows fans to send and receive messages or phone calls from celebrities, with over 40,000 of them currently on the platform. [Built In Chicago]

ClearFlame Engine Technologies gains $17M. The Geneva company gained $17 million in a series A financing round, which will be used for the commercialization of the company’s engine technology. The technology is meant for agriculture and long-haul trucking, and enables low-carbon, renewable fuels to be integrated into diesel engine platforms. [PR Newswire]

Project44 launched a new perk. The Chicago logistics unicorn offered a new perk to its employees: working from a van. Employees are able to work while traveling (a road trip) in a luxury conversion van. The vehicle will be rented from Colorado-based startup Roameo. Builders Private Capital launched $300M platform. BPC is a climate-focused investment organization and is the direct investment arm of Builders Vision. Its clean energy investment platform is aimed toward supporting a more human and healthy planet. Stephan Feilhauer and Francis O’Sullivan have joined the organization as managing directors. ActiveCampaign reached over 1,000 employees globally. ActiveCampaign recently celebrated a new milestone in its growth: the hiring of its 1,000th global employee. The company hosted a virtual celebration to commemorate the occasion. ActiveCampaign continues to grow as more investments are made and the company expands.
