Role Overview

Coinflow is looking for an Applied AI Lead to identify, build, and scale the company’s highest-impact AI implementations.

This is a hands-on engineering and operator role for someone who can find the best AI opportunities across the business, turn them into a clear roadmap, and ship production-grade systems that drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll work across Compliance, Risk, Support, Finance, GTM, Product, and Engineering to turn messy workflows into reliable internal tools, copilots, and decision-support systems.

The right person combines deep applied AI fluency with strong product sense and operational judgment. You should be comfortable mapping complex workflows, building quickly in production, and deciding where AI creates real leverage versus where a conventional system is better.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, prioritize, and own the highest-value AI opportunities across the Coinflow organization, including Compliance, Risk, Support, Finance, GTM, and Product

  • Build and ship internal AI tools, copilots, and workflow automations that reduce cycle time, improve quality, and increase team throughput

  • Own projects end-to-end from workflow mapping and architecture through implementation, rollout, measurement, and iteration

  • Build the core applied AI infrastructure needed to support production use cases, including retrieval pipelines, tool integrations, and internal data access patterns

  • Establish strong quality, governance, and safety standards for AI in regulated workflows, including evaluation, human oversight, auditability, and privacy-conscious deployment

  • Drive adoption through documentation, training, and close partnership with business teams so systems become part of daily operations

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems end-to-end

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying applied AI systems in production, including workflow automation, retrieval-based systems, and agentic patterns

  • Strong fluency with modern AI tooling and tradeoffs, including LLM APIs, prompt design, context management, evaluation, retrieval, and orchestration

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern full-stack development

  • Ability to work cross-functionally to map complex workflows, translate ambiguous stakeholder needs into scoped solutions, and execute with clear success metrics

  • Strong product sense and operational judgment; you care about ROI, usability, and real adoption, not just technical novelty

  • Comfort owning reliability, iteration, and governance in production environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fintech, payments, compliance, fraud, risk, security, or other high-stakes operational environments

  • Experience driving internal AI adoption or enablement, not just shipping standalone tools

  • Experience as an early engineering hire, founder, or zero-to-one builder

  • Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, dbt, or similar systems that support reliable AI access to operational data

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation including base salary, performance bonus, and meaningful ownership

  • Opportunity to shape how AI is implemented across a rapidly scaling fintech company

  • Direct impact on the company’s highest-priority operational and product initiatives

  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional exposure to leadership, product, engineering, and operations

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $220,000 USD. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, qualifications and business needs.

In addition, the employee who fills this role will be eligible for an equity grant, allowing you to share in the long-term success of the company. You will also have access to a wide array of benefits, including health and wellness benefits, 401(k) savings plan, and flexible time off.

Join the team rewriting how money moves worldwide—and become a driving force in the $194 trillion cross-border payments market.
