The Role

THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Developer with experience in .NET technologies and SQL Server to join our dynamic integration team. The ideal candidate will work alongside senior developers and project managers on integration projects, ensuring seamless data exchange and communication between various systems. This is a great opportunity for a developer looking to grow and expand their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of integration solutions using .NET technologies.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data integration processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to integrate internal and third-party systems using APIs, web services, and data pipelines
  • Identify and resolve bugs or issues in both front-end and back-end codebases.
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation for processes and code changes.
  • Work closely with senior team members for guidance, reviews, and learning opportunities.
  • Provide technical support for existing integration solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.


Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in .NET development (ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core).
  • Experience with SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries
  • Familiarity with .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, and Web API.
  • Exposure to integration projects (working with APIs, web services, data integration)
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and query optimization.
  • Experience in working with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and JSON/XML data formats.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a global team, taking direction from senior developers.


Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Mulesoft or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM tools
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is between $77,100 and $105,350 USD (United States) or $71,550 and $86,300 CAD (Canada). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate's proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors. This role is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
