We are seeking an Editorial News Intern to work closely with the Managing Editor and Senior Research Editor. This person will write news articles and Research reports, as well as assist with larger projects and building posts in our content management system. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Conduct industry research with an emphasis on new-car product information

• Pitch and write stories for Cars.com’s News section

• Assist with Research reports as assigned

• Build News and Research posts in a content management system

• Assist with larger projects as assigned

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to conduct online and phone-based research and interviews

• Interest in online publishing and/or automotive journalism

• Ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines

• Proficiency in Google’s G Suite 

• Automotive knowledge or interest

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, new media, English or other communications-related major

• Experience with WordPress or other CMS

Program Details & Benefits:

• Program Duration: June 1st - August 7th

• Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

• Location: Hybrid (Work remote and work from the office 1-2 days out of the week)

• Equipment: Company issued laptop provided
