JOB DESCRIPTION
100% onsite work in the Northbrook, IL office
The IT Technical Specialist has a primary role of providing C-suite technology support to our VPs and Directors. Assist with Conference room technology including Crestron, MS Hubs, Projectors, Mobile Setups, and other Video/Audio hardware onsite.
Perform PC imaging, migration and deployment including life cycle management of corporate devices. Troubleshoot issues with desktops and laptops including connectivity, blue screens, viruses, and printing for both on- and off-site users on Windows, Macintosh, and iOS/Android environment. Coverage for onsite and remote clients. Coordinate and schedule with vendor support for on-site/off-site break-fix repairs. Install and remove software from PCs following licensing protocols. Assist with ongoing computer refresh project with communication, scheduling, and data transfer. Setup new hires/users and assist with office move requests of standard laptops and desktops Lenovo/Mac. Decommission end user technology upon terminations that include recovering any IT assets. Document all end-user interactions and managing all open requests in ServiceNow in a prompt and timely fashion within the specified SLAs. Assist with the daily delivery and receiving of bulk hardware/s from clients and vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Desktop Support Tech will provide a wide variety of technology support with tools used in a corporate environment, while managing and supporting all aspects of end user technology needs. This incumbent must be dependable and be customer focused. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma operating concepts for process improvement. This position will include the support of Conferencing technology such as Microsoft Surface Hubs, Crestron and Lenovo equipment and other audio/visual technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be professional, self-motivated, flexible, and work with minimal supervision. Must understand and communicate difficult concepts and provide instructions in a clear and simple manner. Strong multi-tasking skills for an efficient work environment. Must have a proven customer service background with strong oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Have a reliable mode of transportation.

  • Some University education in an Applied Science or a related discipline plus generally two years of directly related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of computer systems including network infrastructure, servers and PABX systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and demonstrated high level organizational and multi-tasking skills in a technical environment.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, both assisted and unassisted.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, assisted or unassisted, for up to 6-hour periods several times a day is required
  • Ability to move about different facilities, assisted or unassisted, for up to 6-hour periods several times a day is required.
  • Travel to other sites to provide support to customers and colleagues (4-5 trips/year)


Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
