The Role

The Role 

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated Lead QA Engineer to accelerate the development and certification of cutting-edge web and mobile eCommerce applications across our many lines of business: retail delivery/click-and-collect (B2C), wholesale B2B, and CPG brands both via retailer (B2B2C) and D2C where allowed. The role is a foundational piece of a highly visible, business facing team focused on aligning strategic objectives with tactical demands in the cannabis industry, one of the fastest growing and most innovative industries in the US. 

Responsibilities 

  • Craft comprehensive test plans and actively participate in test plan and code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and engage in in-depth root cause analysis to ensure resolution and quality improvement
  • Exhibit ownership and accountability for all assigned tasks, ensuring they are completed with excellence
  • Contribute proactively to product feature grooming to ensure quality considerations are embedded from the start
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, promoting a supportive and productive culture
  • Coordinate cross-team activities, ensuring seamless communication and efficiency
  • Provide constructive feedback aimed at continuous process improvements

Stack

  • Frontend: React, Next.js, Composable / Atomic Design
  • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Serverless
  • Architecture: Microservices based, API first, Cloud-native SaaS, Headless

Qualifications  

  • 7+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on both manual testing and the development of automated test scripts
  • Proficient in performance testing and site optimization, with substantial experience in testing customer-facing web applications and assessing site performance
  • Skilled in creating, executing, and troubleshooting automated test suites, with specific experience using frameworks such as Selenium, JMeter or equivalent
  • Proficiency with source control tools such as Git or similar.
  • Knowledge of AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and productive environment
  • Engagement and active contribution in planning and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Critical thinking skills for thorough situation analysis and effort estimation
  • A commitment to lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Effective time management to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming with languages such as Python or Java

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must possess valid driver’s license 
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age 
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry
