Who We Are

Babylist is the leading platform for expecting and new families. More than 10 million people shop with Babylist every year, making it the go-to destination for seamless purchasing, guidance, and expert recommendations. As a modern, AI-forward tech company, Babylist has expanded from a universal registry into a full ecosystem — the Babylist Shop, Babylist Health, Babylist Money, NYC and LA showrooms, branded content, and more — generating $750M in revenue in 2025. Building the generational brand in baby, Babylist is reshaping the $235B kids and baby market and helping parents feel confident, connected, and cared for at every step.

Our Ways of Working

Babylist is remote-first with team members across the U.S. and Canada who move fast, think smart, and use AI as part of how they work every day — not as an experiment, as an expectation. We come together twice a year to build the relationships behind the work, and we hire people who are genuinely excited about what's possible and prove it through how they show up.

What the Role Is

Babylist’s finance and accounting operations run on NetSuite, and as the business scales, so does the complexity of keeping that platform aligned with the real needs of our accounting, finance, and operations teams. As our Senior NetSuite Functional Analyst, you will be the deep functional expert on NetSuite’s financial modules — partnering directly with accounting and finance to translate business needs into practical solutions, and working alongside our existing NetSuite Developer and NetSuite Administrator to ensure the platform enables rather than hinders day-to-day operations.

You will join a small, tight-knit NetSuite pod inside our Financial Systems team. This pod owns the full lifecycle of NetSuite work: you lead the functional “what and why” (and often the “how” that stays within native NetSuite), the Developer owns custom SuiteScript development, and the Administrator owns system administration and day-to-day operational support. You will report to our Staff Technical Product Manager for Financial Operations and partner closely with Engineering, Accounting, Finance, and Operations.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of experience implementing or operating ERP solutions and financial operations processes, with deep hands-on NetSuite experience.
  • A NetSuite functional subject matter expert across the financial modules: GL, AP, AR, Revenue Recognition, Fixed Assets, ARM, SuiteBilling, and Consolidations.
  • Defaults NetSuite’s native capabilities are cold and default to them before proposing custom development.
  • Has partnered directly with accounting and finance teams through close, audit, and operational cycles — you speak their language and understand their day-to-day pain points.
  • Brings a working command of the technical toolkit — SuiteScript, workflows, SuiteApps, NetSuite APIs, saved searches, and dashboards — enough to design sound solutions and collaborate with developers even if you are not writing production scripts yourself.
  • Experienced working with NetSuite as part of a broader financial operations ecosystem that includes custom-built applications, P2P systems, and ancillary tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can move between an accountant, an engineer, and a VP in the same meeting without losing anyone.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and can translate vague business pain into clear, actionable functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated capabilities working in an AI first development environment leveraging tools like Claude Code, Devin amongst others
  • Bonus: prior experience in a high-growth ecommerce, consumer, or marketplace environment; prior experience as a NetSuite Administrator.
  • You're genuinely excited about what AI can do - not just as a concept, but as something you want to get your hands on. At Babylist, every team uses AI daily, and we're looking for people who lean in.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Serve as the deep subject matter expert on NetSuite’s financial modules, advising Accounting, Finance, and Engineering on best practices and optimal configuration before custom development is pursued.
  • Act as the primary systems partner for our accounting and finance teams — translating business needs into functional solutions within NetSuite, supporting close processes, and ensuring NetSuite enables rather than hinders day-to-day operations.
  • Own the “what and why” (and in many cases the “how”) for intra-NetSuite work: business requirements, solution design, and functional specifications. Partner with the NetSuite Developer and Administrator — who own the more complex “how” of custom development and system administration — as a true pod.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual workarounds, improve reporting and visibility for Finance and Accounting, and extend the value of NetSuite through better use of native features, saved searches, dashboards, and ecosystem tools (SuiteApps, integrations).
  • Operate as the NetSuite functional voice inside a broader financial operations ecosystem that includes custom-built financial applications, P2P systems, and other ancillary tools — ensuring data flows, process handoffs, and system boundaries between NetSuite and adjacent platforms are well-defined and well-managed.
