Job Description:
Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
The Senior Manager, HR Process Improvement will need a deep understanding of continuous improvement principles and aligning them with organizational goals. This role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the execution of HR processes while ensuring recommendations are compliant with regulations, process requirements and our internal risk tolerance levels. This role will work with HR subject matter experts and their business partners to map out complex processes, identify opportunities and create the necessary documentation to ensure the processes are documented and repeatable. This process improvement manager in partnership with the HR SMEs will create a plan and timeline to execute the agreed upon improvement activities.
Effective written and verbal communication will be essential to ensure there is alignment and commitment. This role is responsible for partnering with business SMEs to create and revise technical documents such as manuals, reports, brochures, or articles to determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for the greatest reader comprehension. This role will work with the HR People Services team and other areas of HR as identified. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities:

  • Applies industry, domain, and functional expertise to develop and manage the lean and agile continuous improvement services provided to HR Peers. May be expected to lead or oversee rapid improvement exercises or other continuous improvement activities. Support development and improvement of compliance and audit-ready processes with robust documentation.
  • Work with senior leadership/subject matter experts to understand current processes and identify opportunities to make operational changes to improve performance or experience. Gather information needed to assess the situation and produce an executive summary of opportunities.
  • Develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation. Ensures opportunities identified are high value work with clearly defined target outcomes.
  • Identify and articulate opportunities identified, communicate information required for the development or update of policy, procedure or process, and create plan with a timeline to address opportunities
  • Capture, analyze and report on improvements implemented and the impact


Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration and Management, Economics, Continuous Improvement, Analytics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Lean Management, Operations, Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Process Management, or related
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Management, Strategic Change Management, Training, Development or related


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters in Business Administration and Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Continuous Improvement, Economics or related field
  • Lean Certifications: Black Belt or Master Black Belt
  • Agile related certification, SAFE Program Consultants Certification

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
