Position Overview
West Monroe is seeking a Senior Talent and Leadership Development Specialist to join the Talent & Leadership Development (TLD) team. This role is responsible for maintaining, developing and leading learning programs that cut across all practices in alignment with West Monroe's overall skill development strategy. The role will own all components of assigned learning programs across multiple workstreams, including managing vendors and stakeholders and working with internal subject matter experts, to develop skill sets across a range of topics.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
- Oversee and manage the assessment, selection, design, development, piloting, logistics, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of learning programs.
- Deliver training and facilitation sessions to small and large audiences, including facilitating strategic and alignment discussions with leaders.
- Create or curate materials for professional development, e-Learning, curriculum, and communications.
- Scope and develop project plans that integrate various resources, tasks, timelines, and stakeholder management into a cohesive plan.
- Recommend and implement updates to existing training material for continuous improvement of course content and program delivery techniques.
- Analyze all relevant data and take the appropriate actions to improve overall quality and effectiveness of learning programs.
- Partner with internal clients to build consensus and to gain sponsorship for various courses and programs and to gain a deep understanding of practice initiatives and organizational challenges.
- Keep project leaders, stakeholders and subject matter experts engaged in the development of learning programs, maintaining scope, high quality, and timeliness.
- Solicit and incorporate internal client, Level 1/end-user feedback to continuously improve professional learning experiences.
- Design documents, reports, and presentations that effectively and attractively connect with the audience and convey meaning while adhering to style guidelines.
Performance Consulting
- Partner with other organizational units to provide guidance on departmental or organizational talent and leadership development needs.
- Use a consultative mindset to partner with internal clients to build consensus and buy-in and to gain sponsorship for various courses and programs.
- Synthesize information to formulate recommendations or a course of action to gain agreement, support, and/or buy-in from stakeholders.
Client Service
- Proactively and openly communicate with internal clients; seeking to understand the bigger picture with genuine curiosity.
- Provide transparency and thoughtfulness while supporting internal clients by being empowered in answering questions and speaking up when support is needed.
Vendor Management
- Manage, partner with, and coach vendors to build relationships and onboard them to understand the West Monroe culture to enable the success of recommendations, implementations, and learning delivery.
- Partner with vendors, stakeholders, and West Monroe's internal teams to manage executed contracts, submit invoices and ensure payment of invoices, while managing the overall relationship with the vendor.
- Provide participant feedback from vendor-taught courses to continuously improve the design and delivery of learning programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to create structure around ambiguous assignments and manage complexity in terms of the work and stakeholders to deliver results in a compressed timeframe.
- Experience in public speaking, facilitation, and training delivery required.
- Use best-in-class instructional design techniques to deliver new elements while meeting budget and timeline requirements.
- Experience with the creation of various training resources, including job aids, training guides, facilitator guides, and participant materials
- Demonstrated project management and risk identification and mitigation skills
- Strong foundation in problem-solving, analytics, and project management principles and tools.
- Strong communication skills; superior editing, writing, and critical reasoning skills and ability to influence stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Broad thinking and perspective of current learning and development trends and change management best practices.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong prioritization skills.
- Extremely strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, nimble, professional environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience with progressive talent development experience.
- Experience in a professional services environment desirable.
- Experience designing, delivering, and managing large-scale learning programs.
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories, needs assessment, and instructional and eLearning design.
- Experience with the creation of various training resources, including job aids, training guides, facilitator guides, and participant materials.
- Demonstrated project management and risk identification and mitigation skills.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
