Job Description:
Mars Snacking North America is seeking a strategic and forward-looking Sr. Director, Finance – Salty Business to serve as the finance leader for a ~$3B portfolio. Reporting to the CFO Mars Snacking North America, this role partners directly with the Salty General Manager and cross-functional leadership team to drive profitable growth, shape strategy, and ensure disciplined execution across innovation, demand, and brand investment.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- 12+ years of progressive Finance experience
- CPA/CFA a plus
- Strong background in business, commercial, or brand finance
- Experience supporting innovation, demand planning, and cross-functional teams
- CPG or similar industry experience preferred
What will be your key responsibilities?
Business Partnership & Strategy
- Serve as primary finance partner to the Salty GM and Leadership Team
- Shape category, portfolio, and brand strategies with Growth & Marketing and R&D
- Provide insights to inform investment decisions and long-term growth plans
- Act as a trusted advisor and challenger to balance growth and profitability
P&L Ownership & Performance Delivery
- Own full Salty business P&L including Net Sales, Margin, Brand Investment, and Operating Income
- Lead AOP, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
- Drive performance management cadence including monthly reviews and QBRs
- Identify risks and opportunities and mobilize cross-functional action plans
Innovation Finance & Pipeline Support
- Partner with R&D and Marketing to evaluate innovation opportunities
- Lead financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment for new launches
- Track post-launch performance and ensure accountability vs. business case
- Balance short-term performance with long-term innovation investment
Demand Planning & Forecast Integration
- Partner with Strategic Demand Lead and Demand COE to align forecasts and financial outlooks
- Improve forecast accuracy across baseline and innovation
- Integrate demand signals into financial planning and decision-making
Brand Investment & Marketing Finance
- Provide oversight of brand and marketing investments to ensure ROI and alignment to strategy
- Partner with Growth & Marketing to optimize spend effectiveness
- Deliver insights on investment productivity and portfolio performance
Governance, Risk & Value Management
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and compliance across the Salty P&L
- Identify and mitigate financial risks including demand variability and cost pressures
- Drive visibility and reduction of value leakage across the business
Leadership & Cross-Functional Integration
- Operate as a core member of the Salty Leadership Team
- Build strong partnerships across Marketing, R&D, Demand, Sales Finance, and Supply Chain

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
