We are currently looking for a Strategy and Venture Analyst who will be responsible for market research, sourcing, and evaluating venture opportunities, as well as continued relationships with all. This is a unique role in which Analysts will have an opportunity to work directly with Fortune 500 Executives, as well as CEO's of early-stage companies.
Responsibilities:
- Developing market research on the potential products and services of incumbent corporations, analyzing markets, business models and collaboration potential of ventures.
- Supporting strategy projects in support of investment theses including defining project objectives, developing and delivering work plans, structuring analyses, and executing project deliverables.
- Evaluating ventures for potential investment through research and due diligence with executive teams. Creating deal memos and reports, through keen synthesis of information on a multitude of ventures.
- Analyzing and articulating alignment and role of ventures in corporate partners’ broader growth plans.
- Defining and comparing the business models of key competitors’ research and evaluating emerging technology innovation
- Executing the investment process including creation of financial and valuation models to evaluate the impact of ventures on enterprise strategies; reviewing legal documents and term sheets.
- Serve actively on partner-facing teams involving frequent interaction with enterprise partners, and ventures, to gather and interpret data through presentations and executive briefs.
- Networking with current TechNexus partners and ventures creating new relationships and potential deal sources.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Economics or related field required.
- 1-3 years of consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, startup or similar experience. Demonstrated track record of successfully supporting large, complex consulting or advisory executive projects.
- High level of awareness and understanding of TNVC’s mission to assist both entrepreneurs and enterprises, and understanding of core emerging technologies (e.g. AI/ML, IoT, AR/VR, Data and Analytics).
- Proficiency in strategic analysis, and strong experience in project management, problem solving, and individual initiative.
- Experience communicating (written & oral) and interfacing with senior level clients and executives proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Also, ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and business stakeholders (startup and corporate).
- Proven track record of performing beyond expectations, and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
Please note: The salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000.
