Crashpad

A hospitality based lending service based on students who live in or close to campus lending out their spare couch or bed for commuting students to spend the night. The target would be commuting students who are looking for a place to sleep close to campus for convenience purposes. Crashpad would be an online platform/messaging system set up only for students at accredited colleges and universities, allowing students to message 'hosts' to see if they could spend the night. The length of stay would be negotiated on an individual basis between the hosts and commuters. Crashpad would also serve as a networking and community platform that would build school-wide connections and relationships. Revenue would be generated from an annual membership fee that would include a location and background check, full site access, and administration procedures such as monitoring site activity, customer support, marketing, and verification processes to ensure legitimacy of members.
