Unlike panoramic still images, spherical video bridges the gap between virtual reality and video. Our process consists of filming content with a special multi-cam rig, which can see in every direction, stitching the footage together, and then uploading the finished video to backend hosting service. The video is then viewable on our 360˚ mobile app and eventually the Oculus Rift, which utilize gyroscope technology and allow users to look up, down, and all around a scene.
